Seasons 1-8 will see shippers make bids for two of the shipments on uShip. It is an auction reverse type of format. Bids are generally accompanied by statements about the likely costs and risks and the motivations and skills. The task is typically assigned to the bidder with the lowest price at the time that the auction closes. At the discretion of the customer the job may be awarded to a bidder who has a better ratings from previous customers. For the lowest bid the tie will be broken by feedback ratings. Season 9 has shippers receiving their cargo from a shipping company. The bidding process isn't depicted. Shippers load their cargo and try to get it delivered in good order by the deadline set by the buyer or the receiver. After the loads are delivered, customers provide feedback ratings. The show concludes with each shipper's revenue and expenses. The bid amount is subtracted from the total loss and profit. Sometimes, a shipping company will agree to haul several additional loads during the same trip with the extra money figured into their total. Sometimes, a shipper might not be able finish a job because of worries about the weight/size of the load as well as road safety. One shipper might hire someone else to help on the task. After the task is done, the shippers decide which way to divide the profits. The progression of each shipment can be interrupted by humorous criticisms from other shippers in seasons 1-8.
